Sony FE690 Go7600 256mb gpu

I recently sold my Acer 5672wlmi with x1400 gpu. The Acer laptop was awesome , but they recently dropped the x1600 version so i sold mine. I am in the market again for another laptop, this time i want something a bit stronger with a 256mb gpu.

I ran accross this sony laptop today while browsing the forums, http://www.sonystyle.com/is-bin/INTE...me=specs&var2=

This laptop seems to have everything i need, duo core, 15.4" widescreen, camera, bluetooth, and a Go 7600 256mb gpu. From my research the cpu can be upgraded to merom in the future (not for sure), but anyways this laptop has plenty of power.. with a nice price tag (cheaper than the weaker model FE590).

I have always loved sony's design, but i am worried about the quality. I know this laptop is quiet new but do you all think this will be a good buy? Should i get a 1.83ghz and wait for an upgrade later on. I was also thinking about getting the 40gb, then swapping it out for a 7200 rpm harddrive. Is this a good idea? and will it support 667mhz ddr2 ram?

The Sony FE690 does not have the Go 7600 256mb gpu. It has the Go 7600 128mb gpu.

Sony FE21M have GO 7600 with 128mb GPU, and I think it's faster than ATI x1600 with 265mb. And the price is not so high. It costs cca 1400€.

I will buy this laptop next week. And i will test this graphic card, becouse i was searching for results ob 3Dmark and i didn't found anything.
