I recently sold my Acer 5672wlmi with x1400 gpu. The Acer laptop was awesome , but they recently dropped the x1600 version so i sold mine. I am in the market again for another laptop, this time i want something a bit stronger with a 256mb gpu.
I ran accross this sony laptop today while browsing the forums, http://www.sonystyle.com/is-bin/INTE...me=specs&var2=
This laptop seems to have everything i need, duo core, 15.4" widescreen, camera, bluetooth, and a Go 7600 256mb gpu. From my research the cpu can be upgraded to merom in the future (not for sure), but anyways this laptop has plenty of power.. with a nice price tag (cheaper than the weaker model FE590).
I have always loved sony's design, but i am worried about the quality. I know this laptop is quiet new but do you all think this will be a good buy? Should i get a 1.83ghz and wait for an upgrade later on. I was also thinking about getting the 40gb, then swapping it out for a 7200 rpm harddrive. Is this a good idea? and will it support 667mhz ddr2 ram?
