Great job guys!!!

I think I might have to open up my lappy to clean the heatsink. My room temp is about 73F. Under hours of gaming it reach 110C. Which is too crazy...

nice scores!

hmm to overclock or not to overclock? I might try it but do not really see any reason to ATM as all the games i play run fantastic at max everything.

Will overclocking significantly reduce the lifespan of the videocard?

I hit 10k with mine with stock equipment, unfortunately it was as stable as...hmm....Windows ME on a bad day (which just happened to be any day)

...9,458 is more than enough for me...It's perfectly stable, and it's still damn fast

BTW what driver version were you using?

Don't have comparable RAm lying around (just RAM from my old Inspiron with 400MHZ)...I use the X-Treme G Driver 84.56.

Just out of curiousity, are you guys running the 3dMark05 demo, or retail version? I just noticed that I'm running 2 CPU tests as well (the default demo test) and it won't let me change the options unless I upgrade.

Hmmm I have a cracked version of 3DMark so I can deselect the CPU Test cause you can score without the CPU Test

Man, some of you guys got pretty lucky. 644 for the core and still stable?! I can't go anywhere above 572 without getting errors in ATI Tool. How are you checking stability, just running games, or using ATI Tool??

I never have the luck with getting good overclockers

ATi Tool works with Nvidia cards?

Absolutely. Run the artifact checker. If it runs for 30 minutes you got a stable oc. Why run it? A lot of people can run 3DMark at ridiculous settings. There is only one reason for 3DMark: Video Games. Any other reason is admitting that you are wasting time and life in general. 3DMark is used to measure the "gamability" of your computer. This new wow, I got XXX in 3DMark and my machine pwns is well, kind of silly? Kind of like buying condoms to watch a porno or something. I try to get more out of my machines for GAMES because even though I suck at them I like to play GAMES.

I apologize for being downright ritualistically dogmatic about this but 3Dmark is a TOOL to tune your video card for GAMES. If it friggin' artifacts on me and crashes me mid game it does me no good. I am a bad enough player respawning all over the map enough as it is. Adding artifacting and crashing to my games makes me that much more frustrated...

For me being able to run my games for 2-3 hours straight with no hiccups is very important. So for me a score should be prefaced with is it stable?

I know I can score really high in 3DMark if you discount day to day stability. That is why you check it with ATITool.

Regardless, 10k 3DMark score is impressive.

My 3dmark05 crashes after the second test thing with an ntdll.dll error. Anyone know how this could be fixed? Google doesn't throw up anything.

I've used ATi Tool with an ATi card before, and I was wondering if there was a similiar product for Nvidia, thanks for the information!

I agree, all the numbers don't mean anything if your getting artifacts and problems when playing games, good call!
