Ok..my friend told me he had 1 tb hard drive in his laptop..naturally i wanted to know..off to google.

And i found this:

The specs of the comp are insane, just check the link. Everythign works, and its registered with CES, and will be shown at an upcoming show.

What do u guys think? Real? Or fake? I have no idea O_o

O and btw..anyone know how my friend coudl get 1tb of hard drive space into his alienware laptop? i cant find any info *crys*

I highly doubt this is even true. Heck, if it really ran Win XP 32 bit, I wonder how in the world it can detect 2TB of ram.

It wouldn't suprise me if their "atom" 6.8Ghz cpu performed worse than an Intel P4 3ghz and would be totally owned by Core Duo. A bit like Via CPU 1Ghz = less than celeron 600mhz.

You wont be ablse to fit 1tb of hd into and alienware for a while, the current max s 400gig if you have enough room for 2 hds.

determined? its a friggin joke just by looking at it, windows cant even recognize more than 4GB, WTF makes them think that xp can handle 1TB? stupid people with too much time on their hands... at least make it realisitic

and what is with Nanomicrons, microns = micro meters, so nano micro meters? 10^-15 M?

welcome to 10^-15 meters and beyond? thats the stupid shit ive ever heard

I'm expecting to see the first 1TB IDE/SATA drives by the end of summer with the new perpendicular technology. If they come down a bit, my wife will be delighted to find a 4TB NAS box sitting under the tree come Christmas time, either with an 8x500 or 4x1000 gig setup.

Mmm, four terabytes. Can you imagine how much por- er, useful stuff you could fit on that?

that was in a PC mag a while ago, they also determined that while cool it was also amazingly impractical and so nowhere near as good as it says it is. Almost exactly what ez2remeber said, their chip was actually a POS. Other than that it WOULD be cool to have 1tb of RAM and just run everything off that however I dislike the integtrated graphics, n00bs. Anyway yeah, hoax unfortunately.
