Might get a Dell

I'm in the market for a laptop and as it seems you can get dells for very cheap because of the whole coupon thing i might get one. I've been looking at the E1405, is this a decent laptop? Does it have reliability issues? Can i upgrade the Hard drive and RAM on my own? Can some please help me with getting it for as cheap as possible? I'm really confused about all the coupons and if someone could help i would really appriciate it.

So is the light leakage repaired under warranty? Does the E1505 have light leakage too? Is there another good 14" laptop you would reccomend?
