I have a Sager 8887:
3.06 Proccessor
1 gig of ram
80 gig HD
ATI Radeon Mobility 9000

I just ran 3DMark03 and I got a score of 995. This is terrible. I have the newest omega drivers. Sometimes this laptop doesn't perform as well as it should. I Know this score is bad but how bad is it? How can I fix this.

Actually thats a pretty good score. The 8887 should max out at around 1100 I think...

I used to get around 1000 with teh 64Mb Radeon 9000 in the 5660...

Wow...the M10 is so much better than the M9.

I also have 128 meg card....shouldn't it be way faster?
nah...thats actually a good score because the 3D Mark 2003 is an intensive DX9.0 test and the Radeon 9000 is not a DX9.0 capable card - so its not fair really

3D Mark 2001SE is a better test with this card

With 3dmark 2001 SE I got 7204...With a 128 meg card this seemed a little low to me. 3dmark also lists my FSB as 0....is that because it can't recogize mine or what?

Its not the 128MB which counts. I got the same scores as you with the 64 MB card. What counts is the core and the driver. The Radeon 9000 core is not capable of doing more than what you already see.

I recommend you stop worrying about benchmark scores (which are perfectly normal in my experience) and go ahead with your gaming.

I've just been wondering because its taken like 7 hours to defrag the drive and sometimes Call of Duty will lock up when im playing. It will start fine then slowly the fps will drop then eventually freeze.

Well, I always use benchmarks to just get an idea of what my system is doing. Its also a nice way to test for stability. I would run 3dmark2001 looped and see if after say 30 minutes, it locked up. Losing fps over time, and then locking up sounds like a heat problem. It could also be driver related - hard to say. That 3dmark2001 score is right on target for a 9000 I would think. Of course drivers too can adjust it +/-100 points.

If 3dmark 2001 doesn't lock up, other games run fine, and only COD has issues, try updating the video/audio drivers and see if its better. Good luck!

P.S. - 2 of my desktops even report 0 fsb...who knows. 3dmark isn't always accurate :P If you are really worried get sisoft sandra and see what it has to say!
