LCD heat?

I recently upgraded from 6800go to 7800gtx, while my temps are about
CPU: 38idle/52l(playing wow)
GPU: 50idle/55(wow)

I can feel slight heat toward the upper right corner of the keyboard (where gpu locate). At first, I thought this is normal. But while feeling the keyboard, I accidentally touched the DELL logo part of the LCD, and its fairly hot at that location. Is this common? The LCD screen itself feels normal

Well im not sure if its "common" but, I found that I have the problem a while ago and I have wondered ever since if anyone else ever had the same problem. I am also guessing that you probably had this problem with your 6800go too, as I have a 6800go and my Dell logo and bar below the monitor usually gets quite hot to the touch.

When I had the 6800go, the upper right bar gets hot once in awhile. Its mainly when I dont' have the laptop cooler with me, then I will feel the heat. At first I thought its related to dust in heatsink or fan, but I have cleaned it since the 7800 GTX install and the heat still exists.

The temps you list are well within spec, so I woudn't worry.

My GPU would run about 60 C when playing WoW and I never had any problems.

The temp is not the issue, the LCD itself feels a lot hotter than the computer's CPU & GPU's temp. I am wondering if this is 'normal'.

The heat is coming from the LCD inverter. Yes, it is normal to have it be pretty warm.
