Inspiron 8600

First off, is there ANYWHERE where I could actually SEE this notebook? I don't like buying things without seeing them in person. I am considering the Gateway M505X, and basically there are two things holding me back from the Dell.

Major thing, the Dell looks pretty bad compared to the Gateway. It looks bloated and fat, can anyone give a first hand account of how it looks?

Second, the Dell is subject to a Mail in Rebate to be competative in price.

Anyways, does anyone know if the processor in the Dell is upgradable to Dothan?

I own one and it doesn't look bad at all. I think it looks pretty good. Its got realy nice blue accents on the inside and the notebook looks very business like in an elegant way from the outside. Its the Lexus of notebooks, only made in China.

No one knows for sure if any Centrino system currently can adopt Dothans I personallly dont see why they cant

I was on the companies bank account so i went full out

1.7ghz PM, 1GB DDR 333, RADEON M10P, 60GB 7200rpm HDD, 4XDVDR, WinXP HOME, Dell Truemobile 1300, 3 Year Mail In Warrenty, WUXGA Screen (Samsung)

about 2300 and change
