Satellite A100-192 / XP PRO SUPPORT???

Hi,

I bought a Toshiba Satellite A100-192 today, iit's bundeled OS was XP Home, since i'm a XP PRO user, i formatted it and installed a fresh XP PRO, but i couldn't find any Driver CD , there is a pair of ecovery CD but there isn'T a Drivers & Utilities CD fior general use. Does anyone know if this notebook supports XP PRO or not? I can't find this model in Toshiba Support page for driver download either. I will be very happy if you help with this issue

I think that is a non-US model. It should support XP Pro. Look at the European site for A100. I think it is a model PSAA9.

For curiosity sake, I went to the Tosh Europe page and looked for XP Pro drivers and there werent any. I would suggest you use the recovery disks and put it back to Factory specs with the XP Home until you contact Toshiba Europe or find the drivers at another source.

Actually, XP home and XP pro are almost identical. Home is missing certain add-on programs (i.e. backup) , but the basic OS is the same. Hackers say that you can change a couple of bytes and activate features not present in XP home, and eliminate many of home's limitations.

A100-192 and PSAA9 , they are the same model. I found all drivers for PSAA9 from Toshiba's site.
