I heard Intel is coming out with some new CPU that they sarueid is compatible with older P-M motherboards and its a Duo Core.
True? No? Or maybe thats only for people who already have Duo compatible motherboards?

Is I9300 pretty much done with when it comes down to CPUs?

Yes, the i9300 will support as many Core Duos as you have.

I wouldn't recomment putting more than 20-25 pounds of them on there, though, you might damage the keyboard.

So...are you being serious or what? I heard before that they won't, and you will need a new motherboard. Will it support Core Duo 2?

Hes kidding, the I9300 motherboards are NOT compatable with the Core 2 Duo's or Core Duo's. Only the current motherboards that are compatable with the Core duo's of today will support Merom processors

He's asking a question he doesn't know about, if you don't want to help just ignore the question, don't be a smart ass. Be one in real world.

I wonder though, could you swap motherboards?

I'm guessing modifying/changing parts will cost more than just buying e1705.

Another guy answered it. It will not work. I gave my 9300 to my brother because of it. I got the E1705.
