Sentia m3400 (questions)

Thread Starter
I am looking to replace my old HP laptop with a new Alienware Sentia m3400, but just want to know a few things.

- How long does the battery last (text editing/gaming)?
- How quiet is it?

I hope to make this my birthday present.

Thanks aliens.

Hi, if your going to use a notebook for gaming more then anything else I think you should get a Area-51 m5500 atleast

Seconded. The Sentia is not exactly a gaming machine although it can take on some gaming at low setting/quality.

You're better off with an Area 51m 5500 with a dedicated video card (ATI/NVIDIA), preferably an NVIDIA 6600 or ATI X1600 and make sure you pick at least 512MB of RAM (1GB better for today's programs).

These type of computers are not very noisy but don't expect them to be completely silent. Mobile computers today have very powerful components which require proper cooling which makes some noise regardless of brand.
