WPA2 and Windows XP x64?
I am also completely baffled!!!!!!!!!!! No one seems to know anything about WPA2 in XP x64 - not Google and no forums, it doesn't make sense. Lots of information and hotfixes for XP x86 but nothing for XP x64 - can't understand what is going on!!! I need WPA2 for XP x64 and I cannot find a hotfix or any information. Simply ridiculous!!!
I have the latest service pack (service pack 2) installed (XP disc with SP2 integrated), as for the drivers I use what is on the CD that is supplied with the equipment as the packaging indicates WPA2 ready / capable, so the drivers supplied must be able to allow WPA2. I use WZC ("Use Windows configure my wireless network settings", it works well and doesn't need additional software and configuration - this is what I have always used in XP Pro SP3 x86)
Sure, the wireless cards are: EdiMax EW-7811Un nano USB adapter and D-Link DWA-525 PCI adapter. I have not updated / verified the drivers as I use the drivers that was shipped with the equipment and indicated on packaging and website by the manufacturer to be WPA2 capable so it must be an operating system issue I suspect.
