Can anyone post some pics of the D820. I am about to buy it with an EPP that i have at work and i was wondering ifi could see maybe a comparison to the i6000 or any other dell (maybe even a IBM) to see the size comparison and stuff.

And also for anyone who has the D820 is the case ACTUALLY magnesium Alloy or is the frame inside.

( because my i6000 has a aluminum framing inside ) which i was suprised to find when i opened 'er up)

I can get you pics of my D820. The lid and base are made of magnesium. The Palmrest and LCD bezel are plastic from what I can tell.

I can take a few pics and have some next to a 700m. I can also show you a good example of what light leakage is on a lcd.

If they try to give me that kind of crappy light leakage i will have them replace it till i get one with little or no leakage, 300 dollar screen and we get that? thats bs.

Edit: Nevermind. I'm still seeing backlight/leakage problems on blacks. I expect some but not enough that its distracting. Even with a 700m's glossy/uber reflective screen blacks are darker, as is my FP1800 desktop lcd.

Why don't you contact Dell for a screen replacement?

Next to a red stripe bottle it looks beautiful

I dont have pictures, but I worked on setting up a friends wifi network and her e1505 was within 1/32 of an inch in all dimensions

And the red stripe isn't necessary, I've gotten only compliments on how nice my laptop looks!

My laptop is built not only better than my frineds R60 Thinkpad, but its lighter too, and way more powerful. Did I make the right choice?
