Scores that are suicide shots (i.e. not stable and for 3DMark XX my score is higher than yours e-penis stakes) and those of us looking for gamability that carefully and frustratingly check for stability on our oc's...

Yea I plan on doing that before I post my real score. I've only mentioned my score without doing all the verification (specs, screenshot, etc.) because while I think it will run at a safe temp, I still want to check. I'm also planning on going higher

Good luck with that. I am a lazy bum and am so blon away by my 2500M that I haven;t really tried oc'ing it yet. Once someone makes an easy boot disc with settings for the M90's vid card I will be on it like stink on poo....

Have to admit for the buck Dell is packing some serious power with that 7900GS huh?

ATITool is also a great way to see what your max temps are going to be as well. I test for at least 15 mins.

550/1100 max temp 83c w/ fans on High after 15mins and zero errors.

Nice score. Is that 66c max temp corrected? (I.e. did you add 8 degrees to the GPU temp compensation under options/advanced)

Yes, its offset by 8C (had to lower it from +10C on the 7800vanilla)

I'm really happy with the temp, its finaly in line with everything else that has a sensor on it. I didnt see any artifacts in 3dmark (i did go take a pee half way through though), ATItool detects artifacts, but **** ati tool, its way finicky.

p.s. + rep for maintaining this thread so diligintly

My card is at the max pretty much, I was testing higher clocks in the nvidia controll pannel and the highest it would test at was 603/1206, but even if it could go higher theres no real need.

Wow, your actual max temp is only 66c after running '05 @ 600/1200 and it's the same max temp reported by NVIDIA and ATITool. That's sick.
Ive been running ati tool for about 10+ minutes (i have no concept of the passage of time).

It keeps getting "deltas of #### in##pixels, but says "No errors for 11:xx:xx sec"

My temp hasnt exceeded 60C!!!

.....20 minutes and max temp 61C

So far this is looking awsome, next I'll do an oblivion stress test.

Just ran 3dmark06

Score: 4945 max temp 71C

What are your guys CPU temps like? Mine hits 63C on full load and idles at 32C, I never took note of what it was at before so Im not sure what "normal" is. I wana make sure I didnt screw up the AS5. The screws on the heatsink have a washer of sorts that keep you from tighening it much, I might circumvent them so I can get some preasure on the core (or maby just use a copper shim instead)

Does anyone have the stock drivers (before the updated ones on Dell's site). The ones that have the correct Temp in them.

Also, can someone post any advanced tweaks to get the score up. I had a lot of stuttering in BF2 last night and I don't know if something is holding it up from a tweak perspective or if it's something else. I figured I'd start with the drivers and work my way from there. (Fresh install, etc etc)

Thanks.....

All the driver's (stock dell, XG, laptopvideo2go) display the temp correctly in the driver controll pannel.

Regarding "advanced tweaks" why dont you read the damn thread first, or the other 7900gs OCing thread. I dont mean to be rude, but the information is EVERYWHERE, there's even a sticky, besides it's in your best interested to invest a little time to figure out what you actualy intend to do, and how to do it.

There's really not too much of a difference between all the drivers out there, if they work for you. However, I tried using Dell's drivers and they repeatedly crashed when I tried to run 3dMark05, and other people have had stability issues with them too, so I'm back to XTreme-G Mobileforce 91.31. If you've always had that stuttering, then you probably have the settings up too high. If it was only last night, then something happened or was happening.

The brand new drivers from Dell for the 7900GS do NOT display the temps nor the clock speeds. However the old Dell, XG and laptopvideo2go do.
