it will say PA-10 family for 90w or PA-13 family for 130w on the brick itself and you can tell by booting into system set-up(CMOS)

Updates done. I have also changed the CPU GHz to the CPU number. I.e. no more 2.0Ghz. It's now T2500. This will allow for seamless transition into Merom processors.

To get your score posted, please use the format below:

Score - Name - CPU / Memory / Screen / HD Size & Speed / Single or Dual-pipe Card / Driver Version / Power Supply @ Core/Memory/Voltage (only if 1.24V)

SCREENSHOT REQUIRED AS BACKUP!

There are plenty of examples of this format in the first post. Take your time, submit it right!

If it is not in the right format, the score is going to be ignored. Use the correct data, the correct spacing, the correct EVERYTHING!

my E1705 finally came in. I have no idea why it took 3 weeks. I just finished ocing and i got some great results. I was able to get up to 620/1200 but the temps go up to 86 in BF2 and Prey with fans on high. I was wondering if this was something to worry about? Should i push it a little further?

Here's mine. I haven't looked into how far it will go, but there were no artifacts on mine (550x1100) ATITools ran for an hour.

With the Merom installed and the OC'd 7900gs, my 90W has been barely able to handle it. It's thermally shut down twice. Forcing me to unplug and re-plug it back in. I'm going to have to get a 130W.

CPU - T7400 Merom
Memory - 2GB 667MHz
Screen - WXGA+
HD Size/Speed - 60GB 7200
Single or Dual-pipe Card - Single
Driver - Stock
Power Supply - 90W
Core/Memory/Voltage - 550/550/1.24V
3DMark05 - 8504
3DMark06 - 5156

Who had that 90w power adapter problem too? can the adapter be Cooled from the outside with a fan?
My 90w ran better than my 130 acctually and that was with an overclock of 625\1250 when I had my single piped 7900GS in w\ a T2600, Everytime I tried my 130w every game maxed out an additional 2 degrees in temps, so I just stuck with my 90w and never got thermal shut downs or anything else.

8953 - NightRaverX - T2600 / 2GB 667 / WUXGA / 100GB 7200 / Single-pipe / XGM 91.31-2.40a / 90W PS @ 625/1250/1.24V

---This was the best I did with my 7900GS
post #372 of 741
arnt a few of these numbers rather high? couldnt you cut it back a bit and wouldnt have to worry about running it on the edge? will 625/1250 or higher hurt it or what?
I thought the same thing that was just the max I ever got it to go, I kept it like that for about 3 or 4 days then I lowered it to 600\1200, I cant remember what the temps were at 625\1250, but 600\1200 The max temps were 84-88 which i felt safe with, I ended up selling my 7900GS with the 1.24v mod and at those speeds.
how long did you run it oc'd for? what was your score on 3dmark05, i noticed if i turned mine over 600 my 3dmark score drops and the fps rate really sucks.
To be honest with you I never ever ran the card at stock speeds. While it was in transit being shipped from Dell, I was reading up on here on what people had clocked their cards at, so the day it arriaved I already had the Iso burned on a disk and flashed it right to 600\1200 Then after a week I tried 625\1250 and it ran all games fine, never had a problem with it, just temps were to high for my likeing I think I was getting up to 91-92 degress at full load, thats why i lowered it back to 600\1200, because temps dropped alot. I do remember running a test once with power supplies, I tried my 90w then i tried the 130w I had, and the strange thing was, it ran cooler with the 90w, it maxed 2-3 degrees higher with the 130w, but scores were the same no matter which power supply I used, so I stuck with the 90w untill I bought my 7900GTX. I only had the card for about 2 or 3 weeks.

So did your 3DMark scores increase with the Merom? 2001 should go up.

Yes it did, but it's hard to compare to the core duo. I had the core duo T2250 in before and it's not the same FSB.

Do any of you know if you can use the same bios flash on a 7900 GS running on an Alienware m9700?
