It took 1 min. 41 seconds (20 iterations). But I had Rightmark on and I saw the cpu clock at 2.16ghz

I also have azureus running... don't know, this is a far cry from 1 minute...

close everything and just let the bluetooth, wireless audio rmclock CS ifangui and the nvide display driver in your trays, then try again.

I should be getting my new E1705 in a few days. I ordered it with T7200 (4MB/2.00GHz/667MHz), 1GB 667MHz, 7900GS and 80GB 7200 rpm drive. I'm thinking it should be a pretty fast rig.

The question I have is regarding Coolbits. I've used this to overclock all my desktop nVidia cards over the years, but this is my first laptop, and I've seen it mentioned that it won't work for a permanent OC.

Will it work to overclock the card until it is rebooted, a temporary overclock so to speak? Or does it not work at all?

My wife will be using the laptop during the day, and she doesn't need the card running above stock, but I will be using it at work and playing games etc...so going in and bumping up the speed before I play a game is ok with me, I don't need a permanent OC.

Will Coolbits do this?

I need some help in getting more performance. I could not get pass 6500 in 3dMark05. I am currently clock at the following speeds:

3d (620/1200) + 1.24V
2d (100/100)

Any tips and help would be cool. Thanks in advance!!

How do you check the voltage for 2D output for the card -- and how to set it? Thanks.

bsod

I was playing battle field 1942 for about 5 hours straight ... hehe.

Then I stopped and used my laptop for about 3 more hours.

I was dloading something , then I got BSOD!

It was something about memory and hardware. Is it linked to the OC?

Sounds like some bad RAM, try running memtest86+ to check for bad memory locations.

I decided to install 3DMark05 and give it a try. I scored 9745. Not sure what happened to FlashSVT, it's been weeks since an update so if there aren't any updates in the next few days I'll copy the scores from this thread to a new post so the scores can be updated.

Yes it is, use the voltage editor to set the vid7 at 1.3v if you want to.
