Dell Lattitude WiFi question??

Hope all is well, I have a quick WiFi question. My place of employment gave me a Dell Lattitude D510 with built-in wireless. I am able to pick up a good signal from my neighbors wireless network. My personal computer is a Dell Inspiron 1150 and want it to connect to the same network as my Lattitude. I have a $50 Linksys network card in my Inspiron and it doesn't pull in enough signal strength to connect. Do I need a different card or is there some settings I need to change? I appreciate any guidance on this matter.

If your Linksys card is only 802.11b then that would explain the difference. Your new one is probably 802.11g which has much better range.

Oh, and I'm going to go ahead and assume that you've got your neighbor's permission to use his network.
