"Modem Device on H.D. Audio Bus" ??

Hey guys when I restart my system (in signature) I get the following message right near the clock:

Found New Hardware: Modem Device on High Definition Audio Bus

I've tried letting Windows connect to the internet to install the proper software, with no luck - it pops up everytime I restart?

It doesn't stay there after the laptop is running for more than 2-3 minutes, but I'm just wondering what that is?

Am I missing a driver for something?

Thanks!

You just have sound driver installed incorrectly. I had same experience after the format, and I used the driver from dell site. The problem was fixed after I used the driver from the dell cd however. That's the only driver I had problem with, and won't let you install Creative driver in that condition.

I'm sorry I can't give you exact name of it though. I have 4 sigmatel drivers from Dell resource CD and whoever made the damn cd clearly had no clue/confidence what they were doing, and checked marked all 5 drivers! Best way for you should be just getting the cd from dell, or try all sigmatel drivers from website.
