i am going to buy this today, well pretty sure anyways.

Just want to know what software everyone uses with this. Also how should it run with my setup. Also does anyone love/hate it. Is there a different one i should get?

I use either the WinTV application that comes with mine, or I use MCE (Windows XP Media Center Edition) when I want to PVR something.

I use it with MCE, work great. Can't say I have experienced any major issues, but you should read a few reviews. Some people have issues with the tuner getting too hot. I do notice mine gets rather warm, but it hasn't appeared to cause any issues.

love mine, you should be very happy with it! works great for me under MCE. Ive used the ATI and also MSI versions...have to say, this is the best and it shows.

I don't know too much about it, but you may want to consider getting an HDTV capable capture card.

fusion makes popular cards, for example:

i have the usb2 and i have not have any major complaints either...

i use the free gb-pvr (http://www.gbpvr.com/) ... works solid for a free program and i find it much better than the crap hauppauge ships out. if you want to pay for a better program, i would try sagetv... ive used the free trial and its great.

i used the wintv-pvr usb2.. it is crap.. crap and crap. the better card is the compro videomate action (u700). best picture.. tons of time better than happauge.. this is not a joke.. i tried all of the tv tuner.. ati, hauppauge, pinnacle,... and the videomate action (u700) is the best in the world.
