Hey guys, who makes the 370 model? It's a Centrino with 128mb Ati 9600...

Cheers

Nice! A new Voodoo (BTW it is the m:370)

But it does not match any of the current ODM models... guess it's more research for me.

Yeah we'll see who gets the props for the discovery, this should be interesting.

Wow, woulda thought someone would have figured it out by now, guess it's a lot harder question than I thought.

This is weird...I have never seen an ODM model like this before, why is that...
maybe they're starting to make their own

They don't have the volume, even Dell doesn't make their own laptops... This is just a model from an ODM that we haven't seen yet, I'm sure someone will figure it out, just needs a little time.

To add a bit more to the mystery, below is a chat I had with a Voodoo rep:

You are now chatting with 'Voodoo Rep'
Voodoo Rep: Hello there, I am your Voodoo sales rep today. Do you have a question about our systems?
Deltawalkerl: Can you tell me which ODM makes the M:370?
Voodoo Rep: I have almost zero info on the m:370 beyond what's listed on our site. It was just released on the weekend, so no tech documents are available yet. With the holiday today there's no way to find out.
Deltawalkerl: so you have no contact with the people who put the new model on the website?
Voodoo Rep: Very little, information on new models come directly from the President and technicians who build them.
Voodoo Rep: However, since it's a stat holiday today, there's no one here other than me and a receptionist.
Deltawalkerl: ok. thank you very much.
Voodoo Rep: Thanks for stopping by. Hope to have more info tomorrow.

Is it on Mitac's website yet? I couldn't match it with any of their current models on their website.

Hmm...it looks a lot like the Mitac 8060.

No it looks really like the Mitac 8060 but the specs don't match up, plus the sides of the voodoo are different (on voodoo dvd-rom is on the right, on mitac it's on the left)... plus i believe the 8060 is a p4, this is a p-m... the search continues

Nice looking rig, but damm expensive! Spec'd out nicely it will come in well over $4000.00!!
they have the screen spec'd out wrong. they claim it is wxga+ but list it only as supporting up to 1280x800.
There is no wxga+. Those claiming to have that resolution in fact have WXGA. The next step from wxga is wsxga, and then wsxga+. 1440*900 is not wxga+.

Wow for the first time, I think no one on this board knows. Who'da thunk it.
anyone solved this ODM mystery? I love this notebook since its only 1.1" thick & 128mb video. However, id like to see if any other vendors carry it cause $4000 for a few extras over other similar notebooks is rediculous.
thanks,

Don't know if this helps yas but when I was hunting for a laptop recently I was considering a Mitac 8060b which is available in Aus... its a P-M in that chassis but some of the other specs are different... the 8060b here ships with an Nvidia NV34M rather than an Ati chip... and the displays could be different, the 8060b says it has a 1280x854 res.

That Mitac model is NOT the Envy M:370. It is a 15.2" Widescreen, not 15.4". A US retailer of this model is WINBOOK. http://www.winbook.com/notebooks/w/w_overview.html (Yet another pricey retailer).
