Fujitsu N5010 - advice needed

Hi

I just purchased a new N5010. I must say that I love this machine! I've used Dell 8600's and Thinkpads, but this exceeds them all.

I love the screen - it really is amazing! However, I've noticed that the lower 1/8th has a faint "smoky" appearance on a white background, which does not change with screen angle. It may only be about a 10-15% loss in luminosity but is very apparent and the more I look at it the more noticeable it becomes. Using AC and battery is the same. Has anyone else noticed an uneveness in these screens or should I insist on a replacement?

I purchased from Datavision (www.datavis.com) who were very prompt in getting it here.

Resolved

To those interested, I contacted Datavison who sent me a replacement overnight. Excellent service! The new laptop lcd is superb! The previous lcd was obviously a defective unit.

I would recommend Datavision, their service overall has been exemplary.
