how much would I get for my d900t?

Hi,
I thought about selling my np9890/d900t/p17....
now I asked in many other forums how much I would get, but they told me things like "hey...for 500€s I would buy it!" but I bought it for 2500€ so 500€s is a bit.....cheap^^

maybe u could tell me how much I would get for this:

Cyber-System P17(Clevo D900T, Sager NP9890)
-Intel P4 3,2Ghz 800Mhz Fsb, HT, 64bit
-geforce 6800 go ddr3 (rev.2)
-1024 MB Ram (dual chanel)
-160Gb internal HDD
-DVD RW Dual Layer

more details : http://www.hfeindt.net

thank u for ur help

its not even one year old ans still has 2 (and even more) guaranty!!!

considering that the cyber-system x17 (clevo m570a, sager 5720) sells for around 1500 on ebay with geforce go 7800gtx and 2 gb ram and pentium m 770, 500 euros isn't far off the price you'll get for your notebook

oh well lets say around 1000-1100 if it's in good shape, otherwise....

you know what i learned from buying the x17? never ever buy an expensive laptop again. those beast lose their value so quickly.. i bought mine back in december ... thats half a year from now. and now its worth 1000 less than it cost back then.

Your system would actually be closer to a Sager 9860 than a 9890 (nVidia 6800 Go vs 7800 gtx). The 9860 is, what, 18 months old now?

Volgassi is right and the depreciation of computer equipment in general is very steep. You can't sell things based on what you paid for it. You can only base it on what those same parts would fetch today and what demand is willing to pay.

So out of curiousity (ok, boredom) I priced out your D900T on a couple of sites and it comes in at around $2k new. That's about 1600 euros. So I suspect your used D900T might fetch about 1k euros considering the demand for the nVidia 6800 go GPU isn't very high right now.

Good luck!

I agree with bombbuster. There isnt much of a demand for the GO6800 at the present.

Good luck.

I was thinking selling mine for 1000 euros so yours is about the same (except for the smaller CPU and less RAM).

To make more money, maybe you could disassemble your notebook and resell components...try to see at what prices they are sold...if you decide for this way (if you don't have already sold it) let me know, because I have a D900T too and suddenly it shut down and no restart.
I'm waiting an answer from Mtech where I buyed it, to see if they know the problem and if they can help me to make some test to understand what I can do...also because I'm from Italy and it would very expensive for me to ship my laptop back to them to US (also because it is out of warranty). In Italy there is only one reseller of Clevo laptops and it is better I don't tell you their prices (!!!), so I buyed it in the US.
As I fear it could be a mobo problem...I could be interested in it...anyway I want before to listen to their answer, but if you decided to disassemble your D900T and resell components...let me know.
