New Notebook.. SO many choices....

I am in the market for a notebook, and of course I want a Dell. I have only ever owned Dell Desktops - and I love them. I currently have a Dimension 2400 that I purchased about 2 years ago. It's super fast and I love it to death, but it's time to get a notebook.

I need it for school, (criminal justice major) and I want to continue to download music and burn CD's, and watch movies like I have been on my desktop.

I was looking at the XPS 1210, and it seems to fit all my needs, but I'm wondering if it's even more than I need?

What would you suggest for me?

Thanks so much for all your help!

unless you plan on gaming with it then yes its more than you need, you can easily get what you want to do done with the inspiron line. not to mention for a cheaper price. either setup is fine, it basically comes down to price. whichever line you can get your desired specs on (or more) the cheapest, id go with.
