How to make text bigger at default resolution without problems

Hi, I don't know how many of the sagers have this default resolution, but the 8890 has 1600x1200 which is really huge compared to what I'm used to. I tried changing to DPI font size under the display settings but it's not compatible with most programs (words are cut off, smushed together, and so on)

Anyone know a way to change the fonts that programs will work with? The closest I can get to at this point is setting the size manually in browsers and the theme, but in the browser it won't always resize the text, and especially not in this little window I'm typing in right now.

On Internet Explorer, click on Tools, Internet Options, Accessibility, click on box for ignore Font sizes. If you have set your computer to use large fonts on the desktop, you should have larger fonts in IE.

System Properties>Appearence

Change Font size to large or extra large. At higher resolutions, the text is alot easier on the eyes and I dont have to squint anymore for the larget text.

The system properties -> appearance thing is the thing that causes me problems with not aligning the text properly.

VD, the only way to "fix" your text size without messing up drop down menus, title bars, etc. is reduce your resolution. Only takes a sec, doesn't require a reboot and you can switch back if you need real estate for something. With all your problems, I would send your lappy back and get a 4780 instead. Take half the money you save and get a lot of ice cream to cheer yourself up while you are waiting, buy a few games and send me the other half! good luck
