Trying to low-level Format 8890 HD

I recently sold my 8890 and I need to make sure that all of my private information is erased off of the hard disk drive. On my last computer, I had a WD so I went online and got a WD-specific utility to do a low-level format which wrote a bunch of 0s to the HD. I'd do the same for the sager, but I have no idea who makes this HD - I gather it's generic.

I had a tough time trying to get a model number or manufacturer while in Windows, except that it's an "HTS72606 0M9AT00 SCSI Disk Device". Very descriptive, I know.

If there's some generic utility I can use, please help me out. The auction just ended so I probably should have thought this out ahead of time.

I just found this utility from a PCworld.com help file

It's called Active Kill Disk. It's freeware, and it does a 0-write, so I guess I'll do this since my HD seems too generic.
