Runing 1920x1200 in games?

Hey I have the Dell 17inch Truelife screen in my laptop. I would love to run at the res but most of the games I play don't seem to list it as a resolution.
C&C Generals and Far Cry and BF:Vietnam are examples I know of. Anybody know of a way to set the res manually? I can't seem to find it on google.

Check widescreengamingforums.com, they have a lot of hacks for games to get them to run in widescreen. Whether it be by res changers, or registry fixes.
