Anyone order from Dell Spare Parts?

Has anyone ever ordered anything for an out of warranty Dell laptop through Dell Spare Parts?

Do they ONLY sell to individuals? Like what if I'm a tech for a company but we're not an authorized Dell Service Center but a client is asking us to replace a broken CD-Rom drive in their notebook. Would Dell Spare Parts sell to us or do you have to be "certified" in order to buy for a business?

Dell Spare Parts is the consumer parts channel. Warranty Parts Direct is the parts channel for service centers and such. Order whatever you want thru them... except a 7900GTX of course, LOL.

Go to Dell.com and create a new account for yourself - you don't need to purchase anything to have the account.

Then call Dell Spare Parts to order your part(s). When they ask for a Service Tag #, say you don't have it BUT you do have your account #. They will take the account #.
