Oooooooo.... me want. Me want bad.

Maybe I'll wait for a Conroe version though. I think the Conroe uses about the same watts as the Turon

you are right, but since conroe only uses 65w there are going to be DTR laptops with them as well.

Yep, that's like saying there is no Prescott for laptops. Yet here I sit typing this on a laptop with a Prescott in it.

when is this version coming USA way? In any case anyone know if 7900GTX can be gotten with the 5950? Or, is alienware the only one offering them in their version of the 5950 (with a cool paint job ).

We have been told in a couple months the 5950 will have the Dual 512mb 7900GTX's. I would think when this model is introduced it should have the Turion X2's also.......

Couple of months, seems so long, especially for me. As I want one of these (new notebook with Turion X2) but can only wait until beginning of August.

They are available now in Japan from a company called faith with the turion x2 and the dual 7900 gtx setup.
Check out this thread-
http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?t=58860

That ad has been removed from their webpage but they are advertising it in all the magazines at the moment.

I think that the price of 249,799 yen (about $2200) is the price for the barebones only. In the magazine the minimum specced one was an extra $1000 bucks.

I'm going up to Tokyo on Thursday and I'm going to Akihabara (the electronics shopping disctrict) to look for a clevo for myself so I'll check it out.

I just played with one of these babies in Akihabara in Tokyo and it is BEAUTIFUL!

It only had a turion that was running at 800 mhz (maybe power saving?) and igb of ram but it got a 3d mark06 score of 4631. This is a bit lower than I thought but maybe if its in power saving mode only one of the gpus is running?

Hmm, wish I had $3500 that I could spend...

That is a lot of money, but still a very tempting machine...

Regarding 800mhz, my Acer Ferrari 3400 does that with the AMD driver installed. It runs at 800mhz and then peaks at 2GHz as the load increases.

I wonder how long till these are seen in the wild?

Im hoping they make it here soon, I was about this >| |< close to buying a 5950 when my desktop died, so im holding off until this one gets released here
