I never ran my notebook on battery power. I assume it's not long though, probably less than an hour if running games or a movie.

I don't think anyone has run an m590k on battery yet

20min playing F.E.A.R. maxed out

Hi Charles,

Any reason that PCTorque is not offering the 5950 with dual 512's? I looked over the configurator, and it doesn't show up as an option.
This guy might be able to put the X2 in for you. E-mail him to find out.

Is that with 1 video card disabled?

We do offer dual 512 in form of 7900GTX and the quado fx. The reason the dual core isnt provided is that is generates much more heat than the turion and if a x2 was put in there would have to be other design sacrifces.

Battery power is not what this notebook was designed for. If you plan on using your notebook often not on wall power, look else where. This is a true Desktop Replacement and is advertised as such.

Are you referring to Turion 64 X2 or Athlon X2?

Personally I am curious if the 19" SLI Turion X2 notebook will ever come to be. But might just have to go for 17" Merom one, once the T7...s are out.

Im sorry but where are you getting this info from? what design sacrifices are you talking about? and you can not put a turion x2 in the 5950 regardless of what temps it runs period. the 5950 uses a socket 754, the turion x2 is a socket s1, therefore physically impossible without changing the motherboard. not to mention having to use ddr2 memory

now if you have inside information on the clevo m590ke (the 5950 is the clevo model m590k) Im sure we would all love to hear it since that is what most of us in this thread are waiting on. if not why dont you see if you can contact clevo directly or ask someone at sager to contact them to find out what the actual status is? also there are already some companies overseas that are selling the m590ke (dont know if they are delivering them yet, but they are selling them) maybe you could get an answer from one of them if you cant from sager or directly from clevo.

Sorry i was refering to the Athlonx2. According to my contact at Sager these were not compatible with the overall design and testing(heat and failures) of the units. They went with the turion because if there were to go turionx2 they would have had to go with a differnt mobo and socket.

As for the m590ke. As soon as I can get any info or availablity dates for it, it will be posted in these forums.

Thank you very much. Just noticed that pioneercomputers.com.au changed the ETA to Mid October.
