Will the Asus W3J be able to be upgraded to the Merom processor when it comes out? I am set on buying it, but just want to make sure that it will be able to handle the merom processor. Thanks in advance.

With all due respect, if you want a guarantee, you won't get one. Merom is not out yet, and when it is released, the two questions will be: 1. ) Is it actually pin-compatible with Yonah (Core Duo) as advertised and 2.) Will Asus provide a BIOS update or some such thing to make it compatible. Until those two quesions can be answered (which is after Merom is released), "should" is the best you're going to get. If you want a definite "can", then wait for Merom's release.

There was a plan of Merom for NAPA platform and for some reason it was canceled few months ago, then later there is a rumor that the plan of Merom for NAPA platform is back again, so who knows?
