Corporate Account. I.E. Ordered through my company

looks identical to my system except you got a faster processor and I got an extra 9-cell battery. Unless you're going to be near a outlet at all times...I think you're going to need a 9-cell battery.

Actually I usually am and I prefer the system to be small. The 9 cell sticks too far out in my opinion. The less of the battery I see the happier I am.

What battery life do you get out of the 9 cell?

If you can, I'd highly suggest finding someone who works in a company that's affiliated with Dell. I got lucky when I pestered my parents, both of whom work for two different airlines who just so happen to have EPP member IDs.

Apparently, Dell doesn't seem to care who you know that has an EPP account; they seem just as happy to sell one more system at a discount as they are to sell one full-priced through Dell Home and SB.

Do you have any family or friends that work for a big company? If so, you might want to ask them to go check around the office or online at their company's employee-only website to see if they offer any kind of services for being employees of a big company.

Yeah. It's a corporate discount. Not EPP. Direct quote from Dell rep.
Basically 25% off. =)

I guess "congratulations" are in order...

That's really too bad. I know it's cynical, but I guess it really does come down to "who you know," and I just got lucky this time. Not *as lucky* as some people here got to be (what with the coupons and other price-saving opportunities exclusively available to them), but still lucky to get a significant amount off.

I suppose, in the end, we can always take into account the fact that without a significant number of people to charge at full-price, Dell wouldn't be able to give others the (albeit varying) crazy discounts they got on their systems. With any luck, your day will come though.
