The GPU is the weak point of the 8790 (Clevo D870P in my case). Which way is the best for downclocking?
There have been a thread on the ATI Tool. After installing the lastest ATI driver (8.241.0.0) and the ATI Tool, the default settings are 405/219.28. Are these safe? They are at least lower than those mentioned here earlier.
What about the ClockGen? Which settings for AGP and PCI? Defaults are 66.67 and 33.33. I can set the CPU, FSB and Memory, to 2000/133/133 without any visable problems. Defaults are 3000/200/200. I am useing the ClockGen 'CG-ICS952618'.
