Hey I'm looking to get a M1210 for my girlfriend but I need to see the size of the screen compared to and 9400/e1705.

Anyone know of any?

well the M1210 is obviously going to be way smaller than the E1705 - 12" compared to the 17". I own the e1705 and altough its not ultra portable, its not SO big that you want be able to take it from place to place. The screen is the PERFECT size. I don't understand how people expect to play games and work on anything smaller than a 15inch display. If you're going to be laying games on this thing, I would advise you to reconsder the M1210 and go for the E1705. BTW, the E1705 can be upgraded to the Merom processor. It is also so B-E-A-utiful.

I can understand the desire for the 1210, I would like one. But I refuse to pay the premium for the XPS, I will wait and see if an Inspiron 1205 comes out anytime soon, My wife pretty much never uses her 1705 so I am looking to get rid of it. I have a 12in(4:3) fujitsu tablet/notebook PC, and seitching between the 2 is dreadful. THe res on the fujitsu 12" is not as high as the 1705, and the screen area just sucks, looking at Word, Excel, and webpages just blows on the thing, but its really nice on the road.

I take both systems everywhere with me, in my targus backpack. Heavy?, HELL YES, but its nice to have both systems along in case I need them in my job.

I remember this thread... not the same model numbers, but maybe it'll help a little.

The girl is only 4"7' and 85lbs. She has a 15" right now, aging but she plays Sims 2, RCT3 and who knows what else will come out next.
