1m 17s, 91.29, fresh install...

wow

my machine: T2300E, 1gb ram

never clean reinstalled. just deleted junk stuff when i first got it and left it at that till now, 2 months later. oh ya i defragged it once last week.

am watching alan and daniel playing on WPT using WMP, running azuerus and limewire both downloading on average 50kb/sec, with 55 processes running in total, have had the laptop switched on continuously for more than 24 hours, read this thread, thought might as well play with the numbers. was expecting something pathetic like 2.5 mins or even 3 mins.

i got 1 min 26 secs, with ALL mentioned programs running simultaneously on the background lol. now it really got me to think if it's really worth the hassle doing all the reinstalling and stuff and paying however much more for a T2500 for just 13secs quicker. heck, i might even be able gain extra 5 secs or more if i close all the programs and let the lappy rest for a bit first.

You could create a thread that's sticky-worthy and ask for it to get stickied.

If calculating pi to 2m digits in 1m and 11 secs makes you cool...what does it make if you can do it in less than a minute?

I would say that you qualify as a chick magnet- i mean, what kind of gal would not want a guy who can do 2M Pi in under a min???

How the heck does golfman score so low? I have everything he does and even an extra 1gig of ram. I got rid of all the dell crap ware and did EVERYTHING recommended here: http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?t=5787

M1210 core 2 duo T7200, 2gigs ram, 7400go, 80gig and 7200rpm harddrive! (btw how do you find out that it truly is 7200rpm?)
And I get 1m 02secs. If I turn off system restore and disable automatic updates then it goes down to 1m 01secs. Anyone got any extra tips or explanations? This isn't fair!

I get 1 min 20 seconds with a 1.66Ghz Core Duo E1505
post #39 of 61
super pi to 2M --> 53 seconds

This is after a clean install.

XPS m1210
Core 2 Duo 2.33 GHz
2 Gig RAM

was the .33 worth the money? I have a 2.0 and 2 gigs of ram..I figured that would be enough..
