buying a dell laptop in Usa

i live in sweden and i want to buy a dell 9400, here in sweden we get extra 25% taxes when you buy something and we dont have any cupongs...

question 1: i know that USA use a diffrent power system so i talked to a pro and he said that it will work if a change the power brick. Is it truth?

question 2: will dell in usa ship a computer to sweden and any idea how much will it cost.

questin 3: here in sweden we have 3 letters more than English but thats no problem. i gues that you can call dell swe and ask them to send a keybord or am i right?

if i buy the laptop in sweden it will cost about 18000 kr and thats about 2500 $

and in Usa about 11000 kr and thats about 1400 $ so you see the diffrence.

f u c k sweden

thx for the help

they wont ship it to sweden directly, you will need someone in the USA to forward it to you. the power should be fine with a different power brick (order one from dell sweden). im sure that you could buy a keyboard for a dell 9400 from dell sweden as a spare part and all... i cant see that being an issue.

u only need a power cord, most pc/laptop adapter supports 100-230v

u can try, dell is very picky about sending out just part, they might want to insist that u send back the old part or send in ur lapotp for replacement. Simple is to use clear key cover to make ur Swedish layout, or a compact external usb kboard or looking around for a defect swe dell laptop and swap the kboard (a repair shop is a good bet)

interesting question - i just did a quick moosing around, and conclude that, at this second (just to cover my back u know :-)), germany is the cheap one for dell. actually germany is running pretty much in par with usa, by the time vat, custom, shipping are added, the price will be just the same buying dell in germany than in usa and then ship it over. i look at price discrepancy more often as the service of the middleman. cheers ...

As mentioned many times, the power adapter/brick you can use anywhere in the world. You only need the adapter jack or cable, that cost something like 4Euros or less.

If you want international warranty, you must buy a 3 year at home warranty. Check to see if it covers your country, I believe it does. If you don't buy this 3 year or more warranty, then it is a USA only warranty.

If you are a student you have a 5% student discout with the CSN card.

If you aint a student, get a friend who sounds like a teenager to order over phone and it will be alright if you just say your a student... My seller trusted me
