My SZ 160P/c occasionally stop reponding but show no BSOD. And the only thing I can do is to press power button. After restarting, no recording relating to this problem in the event view.
I recover the whole system and the problem is still there. About 2-3 days, it will stop responding once, it can occur at any time any situation.
Anyone else has the same problem with me?

Not sure about your laptop problem, it might be conflicts of Sony I/O control devices and Sony Libraries *.dll, have you tried to clean install the whole system by Sony recover disk ?, chose option recover to manufacture setting

Not really sure what your problem could be but one thing you could test yourself is your RAM.

Question though, what are you doing when does your computer stop responding? Are you playing game, web browsing, doing something intensive, etc? Details would be great.

Thank you for your help.
It can stop responding at any situation.
The most recent 3 times when it stops:

1. I close the lid and take a rest, when came back, it stop responding.(My setting is : when close the lid, do nothing.)

2. I unplug the AC power and switch to the battery mode, it stops responding.

3. Today I reset the bios and recover the whole system. After recovery, I only install msn and MCAFEE antivirus software. But it still stop responding, when I finish playing Heroes of might and magic 5 for about 10 minutes, it stops. I think at that moment, I almost do nothig. The strange thing is that it didnot stop during playing game.

Besides the most recent three case, it still can stop at other situation.
Two things I want to know:
1. The frequency is low: once about two days.
2. It did not show BSOD, just stops there and after restarting, no record in the event view.
