My HP Pavilion dv8000t

Well here is my new Toy! I add a few extra features to it outside of HP's sock settings. I also reviewed My notebook here

My dv8000t Specs

* 2.0GB OCZ DDR2 667MHz PC5400 (2x1024MB)
* 200GB 7200 RPM SATA Dual Hard Drive ( 100GB x 2)
* DVD+/-RW/R CD-RW Combo w/Double Layer
* Intel(R) PRO/Wireless 3945ABG Network w/Bluetooth
* 8 Cell Lithium Ion Battery

Yeah it is a pretty notebook, and the review was spurred for the reason of I couldn't find any so I made my own when I got it.

I bought mine when it was first released so I got nailed on the price at $1,897.00 but at the time it was $1000 cheaper than the Dell offering

Eww alot of cash..lol...Defnitly worth it though...Its probably a lil bit cheaper now..Props though..I like it alot..

I had one, but sold it as it was way too big and heavy for lugging around airports.
It was so big, I couldn't open all the way while in the airline seats. Also battery runtime isn't good for travel either.
This is a great notebook if it is a desktop replacement though.

I sold mine on eBay and got a dv4000 that gets three times the battery runtime and is 4 lbs lighter and much easier to lug around.

I like that dv8000t. I like what they did with the right shift key and the arrow keys. Too bad HP didn't use that layout on my dv9000t keyboard. I had to get used to the smaller right-shift key on my dv9000t, but I still prefer to have the full sized one like you have on the dv8000t.
