3dmark05 getting very low scores, help anyone? - Page 2

His scores do seem low though...I got around the 6600 range on my 7800 GTX on stock speeds, best I've hit was 7920 with it OCed to like 485mhz/1.3x ghz, so if he's using a 7900 GTX, he should probably get around the 7000-8000 range on stock speeds.

Oh thats right he has a 7900. I thought he had a 7800

yea with my sager i got 7530ish after i switched to the 84.69 driver. Anyway if i were you id RMA it just to be on the safe side. Also im not sure how sager takes to people opening up the laptop to put as5 on the gpu block, so if i were you, i would just fail to mention that to the tech suport guy.

lol they told me that my ram is failing or I don't have enough of it. But I doubt that so im just going to rma the gpu =]. Just need to find time to go between 7-5pm...

What the Hell? RAM has little to no effect on a 3DMark05 score!

Just to update, the problem was that I only had 1 stick of ram, the model needs dual channel for it to run at max performance. So they gave me 2 512s until I get a aftermarket second 1gb stick then I can trade in the 2 512s for a 1gb stick. I'll review the notebook soon.

Being at the Sager factory was cool., saw rows of notebooks and notebook parts *droolish* =]
