Rat or anyone else who owns the cx7 7800gtx....can you take a screenshot of the settings you are using for the video options in game. I'm trying to get the best performance possible and im curious what other cx7 owner are using. Also if possible which driver and how your got the settings on the nvidia tab setup.

Any help is appreciated.

I wouldn't be of help. I have BF2 loaded, but have done very little in the game. Spending most of my time on Guildwars actually.

Sorry for the delay in answering, but I just started vacation (2 weeks), so my time is mostly on the PS2 with my son (he's six). Trying to make a gamer out of him. But I have to force myself to check the forums, because my normal daily routines are busted when I am home or on the road.

If I get some time with BF2, I will post. Driver's wise, I don't think I have updated them since I purchased the notebook. Since I am not a benchmarker, I don't update drivers much.

I have over 400 hours in BF2, 50 of which have been on my FX7.

My settings are pretty simple:

NVidia Setup: Installed driver set from NVidia.com and left everything alone (default).
InGame Settings: Set the Main (General) one click pull down setting to "Medium" and then set the distance drawn to 100%. AntiAliasing set to 2x (4x supported but get best results at 2x).

Note: I did play with the overclocking settings on the NVidia console, but was more to see what I could get out of 3dMark. Set everything back to default.

FYI: cann't get you a screen shot right now. Video card died and am awaiting an RMA unit. Once I get mine up and running I will see what I can get for ya if you still need.

one question though, what resolution?
well they're probaly running at the native resolution so thats 1920 x 1200

Actually, BF2 does not support 1920x1200. Max resolution is 1680x1050. And is actually a 4:3 stretched to the wide screen. Some of the "circled" become ovals.

I am going off memory right now. Unfortunately my FX7 has had a few to many issues over the past 3 weeks and is currently enroute to Hypersonic for repair. So am unable to verify the actual settings.

max resolution on mine is 1600x1200
