Upgrading Hard Drive on Fujitsu Lifebook E7110

Thread Starter
Any advice on upgrading the hard drive in this model? It has a native 40 gb 4200 rpm drive. Would it be able to handle the heat of newer 100 gb+ 5400 drives, would the BIOS support it, etc. And is taking out the drive on Fujitsu notebooks difficult?

Thanks.

I've upgraded various laptops with Hitachi 7200 rpm drives (the 60gb, and more recently the 7200 rpm 100gb drives. I don't have your model but I had older E6654 which did fine (and the improvement in speed with 7200 was significant.) You would should have no trouble with a 5400 rpm drive (although I'd spring for 7200 if you can) and the BIOS should also see the drive without a problem.
