What's the best do this? Would using one of those microfiber cloths (i have one for my camera) be enough?

Thanks

I use a product called Klear Screen on my XPS2's screen.

I found it on Ebay, the kit comes with a small spray bottle of the stuff and a nice big cloth to "buff" the screen clean. Works good.

Always clean either side to side or up and down, never do circles!

Just make sure to read the directions.

alltho its "not suggested" i havent run into a single problem using isopropyl alcohol. cleans the screen very nicely. Under dell, they recommend using a microfiber cloth and just water.

i prefer windex and tissue

never spray it directly on the screen use the tuissue then wipe it clean

Hmm, not too sure about a tissue, it's too abrasive.

Windex is not good either, theres a chemical in there that "eats" the coating or something like that?

At least this is what I have read and heard.

ya, i heard that 2... basically avoid chemicals that you dont know about and microfiber cloths are your best choice.

Never ever use any cleaner with ammonia in it (eg. windex) ... it will react with the plastic in the screen, and can make the screen cloudy after a period of time.

Isopropyl alcohol is fine, but often leaves streaks ... there is a Dell support article about this here:

Personally, I've always used Klear Screen and had great luck with it.

Water. H2O. Use an old diaper or tshirt. Wet part of it, ring out. Wipe screen in all directions, buff dry. Repeat until perfect, then wipe keyboard, outside of unit.

windex you dont notice it

Monster Screenclean. It is a little expensive, but it will last a long time. It comes with a large microfiber cloth.

where do you get it?
I have found that Klear Screen leaves white frosty marks on my True life glossy screen (M170). I am not sure why it seems only to be happening with me.
The micro cloth works well with distilled water.
