kick in as high...I just played COD and the fans stayed about the same. Usually they start spinning faster...what is going on here??? Am I going to burn my lappie out or will it shut down prior to damage? Why is this happening???

Ok...it is a powerplay problem...if you set it on optimal battery instead of performance then the screen goes wacky...even with the 7.96...I guess you have to keep everything on optimal performance...I still can't explain why the fans didn't kick in with the Omega's...I am just going to stick with the 7.96 because the fans are back to normal...my only problem so far with the 7.96 is the fact the screen flickers 4-5 times when first trying to play an AVI file...I can live with that until AW fixes it...Can anyone please tell me if the fan problem is an Omega thing or it was just me...

I've never had any fan related issues and I've been using the Omegas since day 2.

Just my 2 cents...turn Powerplay off unless you're doing desktop apps and are nowhere near a power outlet. Powerplay chokes your machine to death to save batt power. That may have been something to do with the fans not coming on...the GPU was probably running at 100mhz and didn't evev get warm.

I had the lappie plugged in and powerplay is off when you are plugged in...the fans seem to not spin as fast with the Omega's...this could just be me going crazy or after doing research it is a driver issue. Last night I uninstalled and reinstalled the Omega's and then did the same with the 7.96 and compared them. There was a definite difference in the fans intensities and the warmth of the laptops after playing COD for an hour on both drivers! I am very weary of these Omega's because I did not have this problem with the previous version...I will stick with the 7.96 (only problem I have is with AVI files) because I rather not risk ruining my lappie by having a meltdown.
