this notebook was mentioned at the notebookreview.com forums and it looks like a great alternative for anyone looking at the w3j. I'm wondering if anyone knows about availability or pricing in the US?

ECS has a very poor reputation for build quality and tech support. so um, the Asus W3j is hands down the better of the 2 systems just because of legendary asus quality and amazing tech support.

Yeah I would say stay away from ecs. They don't even do the warranty on their laptops! I had to call some third party company for a customer.

Anyone remember when ECS got into the notebook business? Their notebooks cannot used batteries. Just plug in. Ibuddy was it?
