There IS Verizon wireless broadband, or any equivalent, i.e., if you get phone service, you have internet... not saying the OP has that, but there's that option, and I dont know about the rest of you guys, but I dont NEED the internet for my laptop to be useful... take it easy on the kid, sheesh.
