Hi!

I was wondering if thier is a way to turn off the screen on a Inspiron e1505, like pressing FN + F4 or something like that.

I know you can make it turn of after (example) 5 min of inactivity, but I want to be able to do it manuelly, is there a way?

You need to use the official Dell video-card drivers. If you don't, the screen didn't turn off when you closed the lid (at least this is the case with my M1210).

Who wan't to use the drivers from Dell? Whorse performence then ex. Omegadrivers.

Then, anyways, that dosn't solve my problem, I don't want to close the lid to make it go in to stand-by mode, I want to be able to force to go stand-by.

Owell, my dosn't, course it does if I chose to turn off the computer or put it i stand-by mode, but if I chose to do nothing, the screen remains on.

But, that's however not relevent, becuase I wan't the computer to enter stand-by mode when I close the lid, I want to be able to put the screen in stand-by mode whenever.

Which I have found a soultion for now, nice, but, I want to be able to put it in stand-by mode and also lock Windows at the same time, but that, i haven't, yet, found a solution for.
