Thanks for the attempt, but after only getting the first file it says I have reached the limit for free users. It says I have to wait 75min before getting the next file.

Yes! You must have an account if you want to download without limits. Otherwise you have to wait.

If it's totally legal to share, some one can send them to me and I can put them on a server I have unlimited-axx to.

EDIT: Got them all now, just need vertified that it's 100% legal.

EDIT2: How do I install/use it?

Extract all of the files using 7-zip or WinRAR or the likes (Google them). Burn the .ISO or whatever image file (I'm assuming it's an image file) to a CD using the "write CD from image" option in the burning program of your choice. If you don't have a burning program, try Googling "ImgBurn" or "CDBurnerXP Pro". I'm going to assume that it's easy from there, since you didn't specify how far you got in using it :P

Well, from there it dosn't work as well.

I created a partion on 1gb, label X:, and installed it.

But dosn't work, when I boot (can't start it from the mediadirect button, most press F8 and chose it, please edit the boot.ini) it I come to this screen where I suppose to login, when i do that, it's just loading and loading, then it jumps back to the loginscreen.

Reboot your modem.... Most ISP's dynamically assign and upon reboot you should get another address and not have to wait....

PS: Can anyone confirm if this is the MediaDirect repair CD?

Confirm a part number? (So it can be confirmed what machines this re-install cd is for?)... I'm new to DELL but I would asume that DELL has some type of parts /model listing...

Bjorne, it needs 1.4GB of space. Best thing to do is to burn the image to a CD (you can use DVDDecrypter for that, it's free.) Install it from within Windows -- it'll prompt you what to do.

Wearenotalone: I've tested the re-install CD (and the repair CD) on the Inspiron XPS Gen 2 and E1505. They both worked.

Thank you sir, Thinking about getting a 1705, was trying to line up everything... Please excuse me for going off-topic for a moment, but it sort of worries me that ALLOT of people seem to be reporting the screens on the 1705 being a real crap shoot with alot of posters going thru 2, 3, 4 screens or more to finally get a good one, (or them giving up, accepting a sub-standard image.) Also worrries me that a high percentage of people advising to get the Extended warranty. That there appears to be a high failure rate of units at the 1 year mark and beyond. Also of concern is several PM's I've gotten from DELL owners who themselves aren't impressed with the build quality of the units.

There are 4-5 threads on installing Mediadriect 2. Do a forum search for it.

Long story short:

Have to have a 1.5gb partition that is not formatted and is not allocated in anyway. Burn the mediadirect .iso to a cd. Boot into windows, stick the cd in and it will find the unused 1,5gb partition and install itself to it.
