Hi,

Here isn the problem . I'ne set up W2K3 to be an pope client with a fixed adrese The darn thing is settingn up Mu Dain .nom so senf whatever mail to the serfver. Tha A record point the fixed adresse an and MC rdordord point's to the A record "namely"

This dos not tolk. Anmy Idea %?

Sorry.. But two issues here.

#1 - I don't hardly understand you. I am an MCSE and your just not making sense and your english is horable
#2 - What does this have to do with 17in Dell laptops?

If you are setting up a pop client (I think that's what you mean) then why are you mucking around in the DNS config? All pop client stuff should be done in outlook or outlook express.

If you are trying to set up a mail server, then your mx and a record setup should work. It works for me. If you are running split zone, make sure your firewall is open appropriately and your external zone is set to forward everything (mx and a) to the approrpriate server, and that the external mx and a records are pointing to the router. And that the internal DNS is set up appropriately as well.

This thread should probably be somewhere else on this site and not in its current location as well.

i am thinking that spelling may be a problem for any portion that requires typing.

just a thought.
