I am using Motherboard Monitor version 5, and getting the motherboard chip
temp, CPU temp, and HDD temp plus the CPU usage in percent and CPU
frequency for my newly delivered Toshiba Qosmio F15 AV201...

I am a happy camper...

I don't see the Toshiba Qosmio as a model on the list. How did you get the sensor to display on the dashboard of MM5? I am trying to load my P30 sensors on here but have no luck. Any tips would be great!

I've used the Toshiba 5200 as the base and set-up the rest to
read the temps, local 1 is the sensor chip temp and local 2 is the
CPU temp the rest is just configurable...

Unless I am doing something wrong, I can get CPU frequency, HDD temp but nothing else. Have also tried a few other programs with no CPU temp. If anyone has a free program that can see CPU temp on a P30 or P35 (I think they use the same motherboard), please post! Can't believe it's this difficult to locate one that reads this notebook!

Do you have a ADM sensor chip in the Temperature page of MBM5? If so, that is the CPU and chip temp you should use.

Unfortunately not. Only the HDD temp is present. Toshiba really blows for this.
do you see any other chip in the particular page? Maybe it's using a different
chip to monitor the temp. These chips also controls your fan so it might be present.

I just reinstalled it. CHose the 5200 as well but still nothing. On the temp page, I see only CASE, CPU, Sensor 3, 4, 5 etc... No ADM chip. No other chips. I can see MHz and even % usage for both "cores". But no temp! Where do you see the ADM chip. In teh crop down menu MBM 5 Sensor?

OK, looks like you are looking at the Label drop down menu, under that there's
a "Should display board sensor" label, from the drop down menu on the right,
you will see an ADM, LM, or Winbond chip number or something else. And these
are the ones to use, if it's available. After that, you can configure the alarm and
the visual properties of the dashboard display.
Hope this helps...

Just installed the program again and unfortunately, in the area "Should display board sensor" where you described, I only see Custom and None. No other chips available.

I hav tried choosing other Sensors (case, CPU, Sensor 3 etc..) but still no chips that can be recognized. The program can see speed and core % just not the temp. The closest Toshiba on the list is a P15 (as oppoed to the P30), and it says Not Supported. Think I am out of luck. Again, silly Toshiba!

Yeah, if there's no sensor detected on that drop down menu, then MBM
temp will not work for your laptop. BTW, did you try Speedfan? Did it detect
any sensor on your laptop? I'm using both of them, but not at the same
time. Speedfan detects six sensors (CPU, MB chip, Mem, Batt and GPU
Temp, plus the HDD Temp) on my Qosmio F15-AV201 but MBM5 only detects
two sensors (CPU and MB chip only, plus the HDD Temp).
Might worth a try...

Yup, tried speedfan and nothing either except HDD temp. Thanks for your replies. Will just have to live with not knowing.
