They're planned to be available with their wuxga screens by the end of this month. Check them out:

Finally, the holy grail of notebook screens is coming! If I had one of these, I could die a happy man.....

Wish they would have an AMD 64 version as well

Also keep reading bad reports about go-l.com on this forum and others

Yeah, tell me about it. When are they gonna start switching over to the AMD 64?

Dell just made the same mistake, with their inspiron XPS

Maybe the old Intel backhanders! IMO not enough notebook suppliers giving us the option of the AMD. I hope the 17" screens are sharp, with good contrast and accurate color. I would like a notebook with AMD 64 and an Fujitsu CV-like screen!

Go find an Apple to look at. Same screen. You'll see exactly what you're getting.

Storm, read around the forums- you'll see a pattern of reports that demonstrates everyone's belief that Eurocom is generally full o' $!@#. At the same time, Go-L is new and make some pretty bold claims on their webpage. They also could be full o' $@#%. Look for Meddude's review of the Go-L he bought. In the end, it was just another Clevo with XP tricked out using Tweak UI.

I understand your enthusiasm in posting the links, but they've been covered time and again in other posts. There's quite a few of us waiting for the 8790. Do a search for that and you'll find plenty of relevant info regarding this upcoming model.

Thanks for the warning about those 2 possibly being bull$%@&.

From what I've read here, the 8790 will have a regular WXGA (1440 x 900) screen, old news..

What I'm really looking for is a 17" 1920 x 1200 screen - for image editing and watching hi-def movies with WM9

Hey, I was nice! No teeth marks were left

And Storm, I think you'll be waiting awhile if you're wanting a WUXGA screen. Unless there are some super-secret surprises from Phillips or someone else, there'll be no WUXGA screens in the immediate future (but hey- I have been known to be wrong. Or at least, so I heard once )

Yeh, I want a Sager with an AMD64 (coz i just do) and an UXGA glossy screen (for photo edit and color correction). Come on Sager pull your finger out. Oh yeh and not at the "Armani" Voodoo prices. Too much to ask for?

I suppose i am a newbie to this forum so what reputation do Eurocom have? They are hinting at a AMD64 17" WUXGA in the Mirage D900T Are they full of $h1! ?

Mirage D900T not available 'till June 04!!! eMachines rumored to bring out a 17" via Best Buy but dont know when. It's a waiting game!
