Help finding a replacement part (mx1000 mouse: Need the carging base/receiver)

Thread Starter
I apparently left my mx1000 receiver/charger in chicago. I already called the hotel, and they said they have throughly looked in the room and can not find it. Where can i find a replacement one (it can be used, so long as it actually works). Ive checked ebay, and a google search really hasnt turned up much.

I called logitech and they said that they did not stock any replacement parts for this perticular mouse (exept the battery)

Will any other receivers bases work with this mouse and still charge it, or am i stuck with an $80 paperweight??

I really need to find a replacement receiver for this as photoshop is impossible to use with my laptop touchpad.

hmm, thanks for the heads up to never lose the charging base for my MX1000.. that's pretty stupid of Logitech to not keep an inventory of them and I'm sure you're not the only person to ever lose theirs..
I also did a and e*bay search and amazingly can't find any for sale. That is really odd.
did it come with a warranty from the store you bought it at?? or better yet, did you use a credit card to buy it?? some credit cards come with a bit of a product warranty and just might cover your loss.

If you happened to buy it off newegg then you may be in luck... I was reading reviews of the mouse and came across this:

Quote:
Cons: While the mouse still lives and wants to keep on living the base seems to no longer want to Recharge the battery I have tried everything.I saw somebody else posted about this problem they said they are getting a replacement for it unfortunatly I lost the paperwork for it so I am stuck with it.Having a new one sent to my house from KICKBUTT NEWEGG tomorrow hopefully I can still use the old mouse on the new charger this way I will still have one for my other computer.

Try talking to newegg and see if you can get a new one
