May be you can try to make a nuclear or atomic battery. My EX7 gives me only 30 minutes on battery and running at a lower clock speed.

Also it would be nice to not have to use a screwdriver to change the battery.

I got two batteries, but guess what. If I go in an airplane they will not let me carry a screwdriver.

what is your normal clock and what is it on battery...I have a 3.8 that runs at 3.27 on battery..that while its idle...it will drop down around 2 gigs if I play a game on battery....COD 2 will even cause it to drop near 3.0 on ac power.........

Well... It usually drops from 3.6 to 2.6 when runs on battery, but feels like 1.0.. because everything works soooo slow on battery. But I think probably the EX7 was not designed to work on battery. They should warn you before buy that the thing works horrible on battery. I almost never use it on battery anyway.

Even for just internet surfing the battery life is at best an hour......I got it for portability ...maybe I am expecting to much from a laptop...it does get better scores than my desktop on pcpitstop.com......but my desktop does better while playing games...I have a 3.6 gig P-4 with a 7800gt overclocked BFG card and 2 10,000 rpm 74 gig raptor hard drives in a raid 0 on my desktop..thats why I dont put much into benchmarks.....scores dont always add up to better game play
